Ink Slinger Geek Episode 004

Show Notes. The small audience cop-out episode. I started to write a play this week, completeing drafts of the first two scenes. I did some more work on my novel, editing in an interesting character detail. I also found the epigraph for the book, a quote from Irvine Welsh's Porno. There is no original work presented this week. Instead I opted to talk about some of the things that Douglas Coupland has not influenced me into doing, even though they would be really fun to do.

Ink Slinger Geek Episode 003

Show Notes. How does one define a writer? Progress since the last episode: very little. I finished one short story, The Textile Life. I wrote down some ideas for a play. I realised that the title of my novel may not work. I put up a forum at mikeromard.com, and I am planning to overhaul that site. This episode's story is Jimmy Wilkins Birthday.

Ink Slinger Geek Episode 002

Show Notes. New theme music! Part of William H. Reitz performing the xylophone solo from Dill Pickles Rag. A progress report for the last two weeks. Not much progress. I wrote a scene for the NotaBle Acts contest, started the last chapter of my novel, and mindmapped some stuff for my next one. A reading of Not Without My Latte, a short story in the Mark series. A brief talk about Not Without My Latte. Closing theme music, also from Dill Pickles Rag.

Ink Slinger Geek Episode 001

Show Notes. A poor substitute for theme music. A progress report for the last two weeks. Not much progress. I worked on two stories and one chapter of a novel. A reading of Showdown, a vignette that may possibly be a short story. A talk about Showdown, interrupted by a phone call from my mother. No closing music.

Show Notes. This is not an episode. This is just me recording a test.
